Angela Sangervasi, LMFT

Founder / Clinical Director

Owning our story is a courageous act, one that requires vulnerability and a willingness to face our deepest fears and traumas. I believe in embracing these vulnerabilities, not running from them, for it is in this embrace that healing and personal growth occur. My approach as a therapist is compassionate yet direct. I am not a "how was your week" therapist; I am committed to helping my clients reach their goals, especially when it comes to addressing core traumas.

With a license in Marriage and Family Therapy, I specialize in trauma-integrated therapy, focusing on areas such as PTSD, anxiety, fire survivors, addiction, narcissistic abuse, and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. My experience spans over 15 years, having served as a Director of Clinical Services for two California hospitals in acute psych and drug and alcohol treatment. I have also been a key developer for several local dual diagnosis trauma integrated rehabilitation programs.

My clinical practice is molded to fit the needs of adults and adolescents managing various challenges like addiction, grief and loss, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychosis, personality disorders, trauma, and family/marital discord. Utilizing multiple modalities of treatment, my approach is tailored to each client's unique situation.

Educationally, I obtained my bachelor's degree in psychology from San Diego State University and my masters from Alliant International University in San Diego, CA. I am also in the certification process for Brain Reactivation Therapy, continuously seeking advanced training to best serve my clients.

Outside the therapy room, you can find me on a baseball field watching my son play ball, accompanied by my favorite four-legged friend, Cash. These moments of joy and connection with loved ones mirror the love and belonging I hope to foster in my clients' lives.

Embarking on a therapeutic journey requires courage and commitment. If you are ready to unpack the pain and move towards healing, I am here to guide you.
